I know electrically it will play. Di2 XT/XTR rear, FD XTR triple.

STi and road/gravel shifters up front etc?

A way to get closer ratios that with what a double will do with less holes in the middle.

Main limit seems like top gear can be a challenge.

Best google info I found was a Tandem custom install with a 22/32/44 chainset. Comment was it does the 44 OK, but not totally transparent being I think 40 is the spec top chain ring.

I have a Di road bike with 6870-FD with a 36/53 Oval Q-Rings for a few seasons now. It does shift a bit slower up to the 53 than a 34/50 of 36/52 non ovals [tried both], but higher cadence shifts mitigates it a bit.
