Hi! I just acquired this frame with a big Hot Tubes decal (presumably the paint company). Does anyone recognize this frame? Oversized tubing, lugged BB shell with fillet brazing everywhere else. As it sits complete with everything except handlebar and grips it weighs 19.5 pounds. Thanks!

I don't think I'd recognize it, even if I stood on my head. :)

They built bikes, including quite a few canti CX bikes. Not sure if they still build. Guessing that one is 3-5 years old. Give em a shout with the serial # and they might be able to give you more info. Nice score!

Probably Toby Stanton, most (if not all) of the Hot Tubes-branded and team frames I’ve seen are his creation and have the lugged bb. Nice bike.

Thats lugged and TIG’d, made by toby stanton at hot tubes. Their site is still live..paint has not been their primary service historically

Same: Toby does paint work for others, but also builds his own frames as well.

He painted a bike for me about 15 years ago and now has a full-time painter on board-checkout his website-beautiful work. Toby personally does carbon repair work-just did small job on chainstay incident for me. Excellent work.

Oh cool, i didn't know Hot Tubes made frames too! I still can't find a frame number on it but I'll reach out to Toby for some info.

Thanks all!

Agree that the seat cluster looks welded rather than fillet-brazed.
