Hi Guys

After drooling for so long at the sight of some of these beautiful bikes i am on a mission to scour this country high and low to seek out if we have any frame builders here in this country that produce steel framed bicycles as beautiful as the ones i have been peering at in the images section of this forum.

Where possible i will list links of manufacturers sites and pictures of their work when i come acroos it. I will also include New Zealand in the mix as well if i find them to make it an Australasian thing rather than just an Australian thing (technically speaking i should also then include frame builders from Asia. Although i shall just limit my findings to Australia and New Zealand).

Please feel free to contribute. It is because of quite a few guys here that i have already found a couple of the first links i am about to post.

So here are my first postings. Any comments/feedback/comparisons or observations would be greatly appreciated. I feel that many of you possess a vast amount of knowledge in these matters and this would be a great learning exercise for alot of us. The links i place will be in the images gallery of the manufacturers website of some of the better looking frames & shots but by no means are likely to be the only shots on the website

I am sure there are some more frame builders around but these are the only ones that i could easily find on the internet.

Please add to the list if you know of ANY Australia or New Zealand bicycle frame builders

Dave i have made contact with Darrell via way of email and told him that you had put me onto Llewellyn frames and that you had one of his bikes. He was most impressed. I haven't yet decided on what bike i want yet. There are so many to pick from.

I really like the look Seven and Vanilla and also Llewellyn as well as IF .. and i have just "discovered" more frame builders. Just gotta keep on doing some research. I have some friends that live in the States and i could get the bike sent to them then they could send it over to me. That is if i do decide on a US frame builder. Some of those Pegoretti frames look good and there is another guy here in Aus. called Frezoni (Joe Cosgrove) whose bikes look sensational.

cheers

The pix of my Frezoni don't do it justice either, but it is a nice bike to ride, and most importantly, Joe built just what I wanted!
