Upgrade from 42C continental cross ride tire advice?

I have these tires and they're decent-ish on singletrack but they are generally SLOW especially on hardpack (or pavement).

Can I do better?

42C is probably max tire size, it MIGHT fit 44c - maybe.

Hutchinson Override, perfect for 85%+ pave, not bad off road when you let the air out, and tubeless.
