Used to ride Speedplay X-series until I discovered the Shimano 7750's.

They work. I used to love Look Turntables on my Fischer 205 RC4s

Why not...?

Went from Looks to Time RXS when they first came out and love them. I have other buddies who have gone from Look/Shim DA and have similar affection. It is a combination of the float and the feeling of connection to the bike they provide. Secondary considerations but the cleats are good for walking on and IMO they look sleek/mimimal, too.

Old-style Looks. I like them to the point where I've been stocking up on them and spare cleats. (Except that I won't be able match colors very well.)

A while back I considered switching to Speedplay and got a used pair to try them out but never got around to it.

Time RXS pedals is da bestest eva!!!

I rode Look for ages but it always bothered me how loose the cleat felt in the pedal when the cleat started to wear. I switched to Speedplays which were nice but, again, the cleat rocked on the pedal a bit. Finally I went to the Times and they are perfect: super solid feeling but with a really nice light float action. They are a bit trickier to clip in to than the other pedals I've ridden but it just takes a little longer than usual to get used to and then it's not a problem.

I got a pair of cheap-o Time Impact pedals off Amazon.com this summer....the finish on them is terrible, they look like I've been riding them for 5 years already. But I like them a lot.

I have tried a bunch, and most are just sitting in a box now.
When my knee bugs me I just use Wellgo flats, but my favorite clipless
is Time RXE but they squeek like crazy if I forget to spray them with something.

I use Time ATAC mtb pedals on my road bikes as well as the rain/cross bike since I like to be able to walk as well as ride. I used to use Speedplay Frogs but I had too many accidental un-clips (which may have been due to worn cleats).

i have been using speedplay x2's for the past year now having finally given up my clip pedals. actually love the speedplay's. i know that other big guys have changed to shimano because they felt the speedplay paltform was not large enough. can't say i feel that way. i can't help but wonder if it would have something to do with shoes. i use sidi genius shoes. plenty stiff and supportive platform in combination with the x2's.

2x road bikes: Look A5.1

Mountain bike: Shimano M747

When traveling with a bike, I will usually switch over to a spare set of SPD's too, since I have Shimano SPD Sandals, SPD sneakers and the interoperability just seems to be better.

For those that like Keos, PBK has a batch in. After a coupon code (X0901007) they are around $116 delivered.

road---impacts, favorite pedal ever

Lately however I'm really getting concerned how every clipless padal manuf since the original times is a rip off copycat beyond homage unoriginal blatant attempt to steal ideas from the originators of the clipless pedal with float even if looks ain't times they could look that way to the casual consumer etc etc.

One pair has 15 (yes fifteen) years' riding on them, and still work great. Matter of fact I just regreased them tonight, and no play on them. Too bad the pearl white color has gone away for the most part.

Look Keo with grey (4 degree) cleat ...
but, I miss the dual sided entry of the Speedplays.
Also, Keo cleats wear down very quickly. Cafe covers are a must if you plan on taking more than one step.

Look pedals on the roadie--I've been using CX7s for years, but might try the keos.

Wow, with as many Campyphiles as there are on this board, I'm surprised that more aren't using their pedals. I've had a pair of their Chorus pedals on various iterations of my road bike since 2000, and they've been fine. I'm not the greatest with maintaining my stuff, and I don't think I've ever done a thing to these pedals besides ride them.

What kind of cleat hardware is on the RXS? Is it the same as the Impact with the easily stripped out shallow Phillips head screws or are they hex heads?

Very popular on the track. I love them but do ride 7800's on the road. The SPD-R's have too limited a shoe selection these days and the pedals have gotten pricey, so I save them for the track bikes.

I love Campy pedals and have 1 (one) pair of them. They are not being used.

I can buy Look PP396's or A5.1's for about $80.

I cannot afford to replace the pedals on all of my bikes with Campy pedals. This is one of those areas where I won't use the Campy, even though I would like to.

I briefly had one pair of shoes dedicated just to the Campy cleats but realized that was foolish, so ............
