Good day, I wanted to ask for the Campagnolo experts what years, generations of 11 speed Record, is the easiest, you found to service setup, and generally, was known to the favorite. 2008/2018; Thanks for your input. bobvelo

In my experience, the difficulty of setup/service is equal, but the later stuff (2015+) shifts better and if you’re buying used it’s less likely to be worn out.

They all set up the same, as long as it's ULTRAShift..SR, Record, Chorus..2009 to present.

2009-2010 Athena also-2011 Athena went to PowerShift. Powershift sets up the same but the LH/front lever is more 'positional', ala shimano..You can tell UltraShift from POWER Shift..as the thumb button runs in slot in hood(UltraShift) vs a hole in the hood(PowerShift).

UltraShift shifters are VERY reliable as they don't have the shift springs and spring carrier of 2008 and older ERGO..nothing inside to really go wrong. They don't 'wear out', but if they crump(like break a shifter blade or thumb button doesn't pivot anymore) send to me and I'll fix it.

The 'best' UltraShift groups, anecdotally, are 2015 and later..BUT, they all set up the same.

Thanks, I have last generation Record. But the 5 arm crank of the earlier, series has me, liking that look?
