Before i resort to brute force....

how the hell do you remove the thumb button from these shifters? anyone know?

Not sure if you can. "Easily" at least.

Are you overhauling? Anything wrong with it?

When I pulled mine apart, I left that section alone after taking a close look. It was working fine so I figured better not indulge my curiosity this time around.

Small punch from opposite side of lever for pins and out they come..Not sure why you want to do that tho..making a brake lever only?

yes, brake lever conversion.

part of me want to just keep the thumb button to play with on the road, haha.
