Finding a Sports Physiologist?

So...how do I find one? I did a google search for "Sports Physiologist near me", and got lots of job listings in other states. Where do I go looking for one?
Got a "back" problem that I don't really think is spine related but more likely muscle issues. Been to PT, helped, but continues to nag. Been to 3 different ortho guys. So I'm thinking a person well versed in sports exercise, but can't seem to find anyone.
Suggestions for locating someone? Where are they hiding?

Look for: Physiatrist

They are MDs...focus on physical stuff (muscles, joints, pain management, etc)...many have sports training certifications too.

They don't do surgery, but do injections if needed....I started there before heading off to Neurosurgeon for back surgery. Avoided the knife for about 10 yrs with this....
