Looking to possibly replace my decals on my Moots but would prefer panels as opposed to just the usual Moots letters. Have always liked panels and was wondering if anyone here has found a provider for custom panel decsls? Thanks, Matthew

If you have a color printer and if you have the moots logo in the computer what you can do is to buy printable vinyl and print the logo in it.

I have also used water slide paper with a printer and then put several layers of rattle can clear coat, it works pretty well. The first clear coat layer needs to be very light in order to avoid bubbling of the decal. But it works, and on Ti, it could be removed with some solvent if it doesn't. Note that printers don't use white ink though so a white background will be clear on the decal.

While I don't have an answer, I do have to agree that panel logos would dress up a bike, especially a Moots, just right.

You might want to contact Velcocals (https://velocals.com/) and see if they would make a set for you. They already sell standard Moots decals, and do have a "New Product Request" link on their web site.

How about etching? If the Moots is a keeper you never have to replace decals again.

I can't find the thread, but someone here provided a link to a paneled decal set they had made for their moots. It looked really good.

If I remember correctly it was purple, I just can't find the thread. It was likely 3 years ago.

Hey Matthew - I'm actually doing the same research. Let you know what I find, but here's one that might work and they have a full catalog of bike restoration decals. Haven't reached out to them yet.

I contacted Gus Salmon via his facebook page. He was great to work with and the quality of the decals he made was top notch.

Thanks guys. Hey pdonk, I also remember that thread and that is what I am looking for. And they were purple with the Moots logo being the bare ti underneath the panel. Was on a cross bike I think. As far as sending to Moots and etching, etc. I want to keep cost down and don't want to ship and tear down my bike. Yeah Rob, let me know what you find out!!

I'd also consider finding a good auto wrap or signage place, they could likely take the moots graphics and do them for you.

Now you have me thinking of a refresh for my moots.

I've also thought about going really cheap and just adding bands on the edges of my current stock white Moots decals. Maybe with colored electrical tape or auto pinstripes. Especially since I just bought the Moots ones from them last year. I believe there is a graphics shop here in my town so I may check them out too.

I love the Serotta Indy scheme with the two bands too so may try that.

These guys get favorable reviews over on Facebook, but I haven't used them myself: https://www.bicyclemakeover.com/

I'm looking to do something similar with a LeMond Ti frame.

Not my aesthetics, but I'm sure that designs are determined (or at least signed off by) the customer.

Besides, haven't you ever been curious what a bike designed by the folks at Primal would look like?
