now i know i'm getting all of 283 of my peak power wattage when i jump!!!! those marketing clowns at sram better see the error of their ways.

*i made a sheet calculating resonance rates of 27.2mm seatposts shimmed in custom ultrabutted titanium frames vs 31.6mm and discovered i could save .4w over 900km by using the shim and a fizik 00 post! it's all about the little things.

**kmc chains are trash. v upset the 12s gold chain sounded like goldbaum was a tiger rolling into the bulge tbh. i feel really mislead by mark mcmscience's spreadsheet clearly showing it was superior (visually and performancely). it seriously ruined my "eighteen shades of glorious gold" theme, made possible by the advances in gold ano the bike industry has made in the past 30 years.

how are you using aftermarket chainrings and some aftermarket chain with 12-speed SRAM AXS? My LBS (Excel Sports in Boulder) thought it was currently impossible according to SRAM. Obviously not, I see now. Care to elaborate on shifting efficiencies with such a set up? Wait...that is a 2 X 11!!?
Thanks!

Got to plug that wire port on the chain stay. That’ll save at least 1.259395 watts and prevent that annoying noise whistle while kissing sound.

récord 12 11-29 cassette. eagle chain. red axs dub crank, dzero 130bcd spider, 53/39 chainrings. force axs shifty bits. works well.

Based on reports on the axs 12 cog spacing, a campy 12 drivetrain should work with an AXS fd and rd.

Red 11 speed crank may also with 12 speed.

It's a painted floor, symbolizing the cobbles of Roubaix and the polka dot climbers jersey of the Tour, representing the bike is .2% lighter yet 1.6% more horizontally robust. Do you know nothing about marketing?

That's not looking like a rug to me. Looks like tile or something else hard.
Not that it matters a hoot. This is a weird thread.;)

By the way, does your spreadsheet compare watts for using a level stem vs slightly upsloping? I'm sure there's a power loss there, at least on the order of the shim, if not even as much as having that gaping hole on the CS messing with aerodynamics.

An early favorite for "Post of the Year."

Heisenberg lost his power wattage somewhere. Maybe under the futon. He was able to find it with the help of a shim. Somehow, Mark McM had some culpability. Not sure how. Mark McM is a known fan of Warren Zevon, however, and most avid racers like Heisenberg prefer music that's "edgier."

Flash and Fignons Barber (still the best tag on the site) traded interior decorating barbs.

Heisenberg concluded the post (thus far) by citing some Old Testament verses.

let's take it from the top.

once upon a time in the dregs of the venetian (while consuming an overly-thick cut of prime and sipping a singapore sling), i lost my mind about the exceptional drag of 405mm chainstays/10t cogs and the real crimes perpetuated on the world by men from chicago who go by their initials (professionally), high in their repurposed meatpacking factory-cum-bike parts headquarters.

it lead me to markmcm's exceptional research in the area of "wattage losses around 10t bicycle drivetrains for the very few people who have ever ridden past 25mph, let alone our researcher".

promptly, i asked my intern to drop my copy of "excitable boy" onto the deck and got to work. HOW could i possibly defeat the conniving marketing bastards in the Windy City, dead set on robbing the average joe of two watts at 30mph?! truly, an endeavor on par with the apollo program.

long story short, i found a bunch of random crap lying around my workshop. turns out all it took was a mezcal shot alongside the singapore sling to conjure it into reality.

weirdly, it all worked...fine? veryun****ingfortunately. i thought big bike industry™ had things far more on lock when it came to PURPOSEFULLY ****ING THE WORKING MAN™.*

*who is not armed with spreadsheets.

so while i was contemplating alcoholism and the concept of desperadoes/eves, it became a thing. a bike, with 12 speeds, an 11-29t cassette, a 53/39 chainset, and shifted THROUGH THE GODDAMNED AIR.

truly, a breakthrough for humanity.

Well, I don't understand a word you just wrote. But I like it! Certainly, there's a kernel of truth buried in there somewhere.

OK, taped the hole and got the stem level. You're good to go.

Not sure where you're going, though. But definitely sure I'd never step foot in it.

Wait, did someone mention 'bar?' Thought this was about a Baum.

And what is with that chain?

And those wheels, how did you turn gold into carbon? So many mysteries here.

I'd say you probably turned out an OK kid then...When my dad was bringing me home from the hospital (mom was still in the hospital for whatever reason), he stopped at two places. A wine store and a bike shop.

I'll be damned if those didn't turn into my two hobbies.

dropped half a hit and took the campaxes dragon out for a spin once atmospheric levels were a shade more optimized and i was back in the high life again.

1) the iridescent chain is still noisy. not as audible as the aureate kmc, but i firmly believe bicycles should only be seen - not heard. when i'm properly sober i'll try the flat top abomination on the campy cassette. it is not multicolored, and thus, corporate.

2) rim brakes still suck (california hasn't slid into the ocean yet). but daaamn are they light. but daaaaamn do they suck. but daaaaaamn hyperons are better than anything. "priorities." i will not scoff at a 14.9lb metal bicycle with a few heavy parts and brakes that kind of work.

see you on gower avenue.

hello yes

the aerolinks are fine. they just use a cable. and carbon epoxy as a braking surface.

unfortunately my mezcal budget far exceeds my eebrake budget, which would make this bicycle 14.75lbs, and thus, worthy of a cyclingtippie (https://cyclingtips.com/2016/06/bikes-of-the-bunch-lotus-49-inspired-baum-corretto/).
