How do you check the tension using a park TN-1 on bladed spokes? I assume you measure in the wide part of the spoke? That is parallel to the rim.

Hold the tool same way perpendicular to the rim as with a round spoke. Make sure your bladed spoke is not wound/twisted.

The chart shows tension for bladed spokes. My experience is the rim max tension recommendation for me had always been the limiting factor. 50-60 wheels later...
