I've been using Michelin open pro 4 service corsa 25's. They fit fine, but not much room to spare. I'm thinking of switching to Veloflex corsa 25's.
Does anyone have any information of how the 2 brands compare width wise?
Are the Veloflex wider than the Michelin?

Thanks,
Jeff

In my experience the Michelin tires have always run wider than comparable Veloflex tires.

The '25' Veloflex will be about 24 mm wide on those rims.

I find that the veloflex are true to size on the older type rims that you are running. I love veloflex tires but they are just a touch more fragile than some of the other options but the ride of them are great.

Based on my experience, Veloflex clincher tires tend to run narrow; as someone mentioned already there is a good chance the 25 mm tires won't even measure 25 mm, especilly on narrow internal width rims.

Veloflex are generally undersized. Michelin are either true to size or oversized. So if you're looking to pick up a few mm of clearance, Veloflex will likely do the trick. The Pro4 Service Course is a pretty delicate tire, so the Veloflex will be similar in that regard.

The sizes didn't really change when Veloflex stopped selling 22s and 24s and started selling 23s and 25s. They're usually accurate to within a mm, discrepancies almost always on the small side.

I had to trade my Michelin Pro 4 25 mm for 23 mm to keep road grit from grinding the fork bridge in wet weather. The 23's measure the same as my Veloflex 25's, a hair under 25 mm on older narrower rims.

Just another to add to the chorus, most Michelins are a touch oversized and veloflex are always undersized in my experience. 25 Veloflexs should clear easily. Great tires
