Will these old rims behave nicely when built on 10/11sp hubs? I know tensions are higher on drive side than w/ 8sp older hubs but then i don´t know much of wheels.

If those rims are south of 450 grams, they will be on a short leash.

Weight is 450grams. I am tempted by style... but will build on modern rear 10sp hub so who knows if it can stand the tension? It´s a very short/ shallow box shape.

I would relace on an old pair of campy centaur hubs. I may use thick spokes.

There was an article on Pez a few yrs ago about a bike shop in Bolzano, Italy (IIRC) describing the eccentric old school owner building up a nice light set of tubular wheels using aqua blue Tune hubs with these...

I have Campag Lambdas on my Merckx with Campagnolo Record 9/10/11/12s hubs. ..
Build with enough spokes(I use 36h), use decent spokes(not uber thin), use SecureLock-type nipples(not 'glue')..Tension to about 100-110KGF right side, they'll be fine.

Been on the bike since Feb 2014..no problems what-so-ever.

I worked for a team that ran those tires. The boys liked them a lot and they were on the more puncture resistant side of the curve. Good tires to work with as well.

It took me almost 15 years to figure out how important this is.

Brand new? No, Campagnolo hubs are now only made in 32 holes. But previous generations of Campagnolo hubs (going back to 1997) fit 9/10/11/12spd cassettes and were available in 36 holes (and also 28 holes).

Of course, there are Campagnolo compatible hubs made by other manufacturers that are still made in 36 holes.

I know.. Miche comes to mind. And it makes sense to build those old tubular rims in 36h.
