that second picture is just a bad photoshop job of a giant tcr. the new trek does look pretty good though and ekimov is currently training on one.

maybe Trek got the message:

http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/2006/awards06/?id=bike

After winning the readers poll for "best team bike" '02 '03 '04
and dropping to 4th this year, they figured that Lance isn't going
to keep them in the game, so it's time for somthing new?

I'm sure that is the prototype version and that it will be nicer by the time it goes into production. My TREK rep says they'll be available in July.

that explains why the madone's are getting blown out. too bad, I really like the look of the traditional frame.
don't want no girl's bike! (yeah, I know. double negative)

1) girls rock
2) my bike can beat your bike up.
3) girls rock.

so, if you need to call it a girls bike.... it's a compliment. but it also makes you look like you don't like girls. i tend to think the world of them.

its probably an awesome bike

the looks are ok -- ISP-sloper-shaped-carbon is a whole world unto itself. i don't think you can really compare the looks of a thin-tubed level tt rig to a batman-isp dragster.

after a year of AL and CF, kirk's bike has reminded me of how nice a really nice level tt, round-tubed steel rig can be. that's my preference.

i'm not sure it's an apples to apples comparison. your steel rig is top of the line, made by a top of the line dude. your scott carbon ain't that. nor was your ridley. you may well still prefer your new rig over top carbon and alu, but you haven't yet had an apples to apples comparo. all i'm saying is, great can come in steel, carbon, alu, ti and various combos.

Trek, Giant and all the others should get together and pick out a tiawanese co. to manufacture a universal carbon sloper. Just put your co decals on and your set to go! All look the same anyway.
