I've never even considered having an "ebay feed"

Sounds like living dangerously

There was one for sale on here last year, kind of languished iirc..

I love that paint. Probably rides great - for a bike w a carbon fork :bike: ;)

They were made for a bit several years ago as a modern steel bike: PF30BB, 44HT IIRC. Lemond Geo--Loong TT.
Got positive reviews at the time.
Sort of similar to CK Cielo frames in that they came with a good name, semi-boutique-y small numbers, well made, rode well, and POOF! Gone..

They were cool framesets for their time. Steve is right PF30, 44HT, they were also drilled for Di2 plus had mechanical stops on them.

Was also right around the time of his collab with Time for the carbon frames.

There's some postings on the web BikeRumor (https://bikerumor.com/2014/08/14/lemond-introduces-new-steel-washoe-road-bike/)) is just one example..

If memory serves, Zen Fab made them for Lemond, but I could be wrong.

Cool framesets. I emailed them (I think) last year about buying one; they still wanted what I thought at the time a pretty high price for a frameset they weren't advertising and had sitting in the backroom as NOS. If I remember correctly, it was around $2500 and above, unpainted - but paint was included with purchase.

Baller frameset though. If I didn't have so many here at the house, I probably would have caved and bought one. I was hoping for a discount considering they weren't actively being advertised.

Nope, not wrong. Zen made them for LeMond. They were painted by a guy in Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I know the guy. AWESOME painter.

I was a bit off in the price. Here’s a snippet of what I got last February:

The price of a frame + fork (includes headset, seat collar) is $2349 + shipping. The bike is offered in 3 colors (Black, Orange, or Light Blue) but if you wanted a custom color we could inquire with the painter for pricing. Lead time on a frame is approximately 4-5 weeks as all the frames have to go through paint.

That price for the eBay frameset is a great if the size fits.

It looks new to me - as I look at the pics. As stated, paint needs some work (blemishes). Buy it cheap and have it refinished and probably still come out ahead of what they may be asking for a new one today.

I agree. Seller states he will consider offers. If it were my size and seller would take $600 to 700, I think I would take it. I would not do the asking price. It does not state size, but it looks really tall. Frame could be stripped for the price of a can of stripper, the time it takes to sand it down to clean, smooth steel, and a basic one stage powder coating costs about $100, at least by the guy that has done mine. Two stage is $150 to 180. I love my Poprad and Tourmalet.

I've not seen one in person, but I do like LeMonds and their geo suits me well.

I have two friends who own these. I rode one of them. Nice bike, smooth ride and very stable at speed.

Spot on, I got this frameset for $650. Goal is to use it for the Belgian Waffle Ride - if, i can fit 28C tires. I know some us 25C but I actually prefer 30C for So-Cal canyons secondary to rocks - lots and lots of embedded rocks. Either way, I hope to put many miles on her.
As with so many of you, I was a huge fan of Greg in my youth. So much so, I bought a Look carbon bike and a La Vie Claire kit. Pretty costly for a kid but I know it added an extra watt or two when I would climb my local hills with the older guys.
As luck would have it, years later I met Greg. We hung out for a good part of an evening. At the time he was heavily into open-wheel motorsports and I was/am a rabid F1 fan so we got along very well. That said, he knew I wanted to discuss key moments from the 85 and 86 tour and obliged me. A month later a friend handed me an issue of a local magazine with a picture of Greg and me - LUCK!
This amazing athlete has had such a big impact on my life and continues to do so as I'm now excited to own this frameset... can't wait to roll her out!

I saw one while out with the inlaws about a year ago and had to snap a quick picture, I wish there was more information/availability because it seems like a great modern day steel road bike, although there are a ton of great options.

Can anyone comment on the ride? I always wondered if those were stuff enough for climbing.
