Velomobiles have actually been around for almost as long bicycles. Electric assist velomobiles have been around for quite a few years also, probably for as long as there have been e-bikes (maybe longer). Velomobiles have always been a rarity, but maybe e-velomobiles will be a little less rare.

My neighbor has a velomobile and uses it for grocery runs. Pretty slick especially if it's always nice out which it usually is here.

Some of my routes take me on a local MUP and there is a fellow I see regularly pedaling one that looks like this ... thing is fast. If you live or are thinking of living in a cold climate, maybe an enclosed one.......
