I'm trying to create an alternate setup for my 2014 Madone, so I can use it on triathlons this year. I want a forward mounted seatpost, but the Profile Designs Fast Forward is the only one I can find. BUT it's crazy short. I need a 350mm post minimum.

Anyone know of a different 27.2 forward mounted post?

brand new in the box. i imported cuz i thought i needed more setback but worked out my fit with saddle and stem instead. the mechanism for adjusting angle is really well thought out and secure...a bit heavy but maybe will suit your needs.

i imported it cuz i could not find really setback post in the US.

$65 shipped.

You can run a setback Thomson backwards.

That looks pretty interesting. If i don’t find a regular post to drop in soon, I’ll look closer at this idea.

Some of the noseless TT saddles (ISM, Cobb etc) are meant to be ridden with your bits off the front. To maintain the same rider position achieved with a standard saddle, the nose must be mounted farther back. The corollary is that not changing the position of the nose from standard will move the ideal rider position forward— aka you may be able to accomplish nearly the same position change as a Fast Forward seatpost just by changing to a split nose TT saddle.

Most of the setback-style seatposts that clamp from the side should be able to be flipped around forwards.

I've got a couple of split nose tt saddles to try, but i'm not just trying to replace the saddle, I want to effectively change the STA to something closer to a TT bike (78 or so).

I might have had the solution staring me in the face already. The Madone has been hanging over the couch in my office this winter, and I didn't realize the FSA post on it would angle back this far. I'll get on the trainer and do some fitting and tweaking to see if this will really work.

The seat angle looks extreme, but I'm just trying to show how far it'll really go.
