The cold front is here now! Just had whiteout conditions outside my window here in south jersey. Looking forward to this weekend ~

It is currently snowing up here and has been on and off for about a month or so. Starting to just go out and get an hour on the bike everyday regardless of weather conditions.

I headed out in shorts which felt very strange in January in the Midwest.

Yes, it is likely not even snowing in the valley right now, but haven’t ventured down there yet today. Hasn’t been the coldest up here this winter, but lots of rain, snow and ice.

Your weather on Saturday is going to be warmer than Tucson, AZ! The rest of the week, not so much...

It took 2 years but I think I am a proper winterized person. I was out this morning, ridding, 28 - 30 degrees and I was feeling hot... That was weird. Also been going out the house in a tshirt to take the dog out and in similar weather. Now I understand why all my neighbours just wear sweatshirts while I had a couple of sweaters and a winter jacket. You just get used to it... even when you are from the mediterranean... took a bit of time though

looks like we get the rain on Saturday, unfortunately. Sunday might be okay. Too cold for shorts here though. Have to check in the DC area

on edit: their weather is almost the same as ours. Too bad

I rode two days ago, sunny, clear blue skies, 56 degrees. Yesterday 3” of snow. We’re getting close to 70 on Saturday but rainy. Still going to be 60’s on Sunday so I’m planning on getting on the bike then.

Starting to wonder if I’ll even have to fire up Zwift this winter.

You just get used to it...yeah weather conditioning is real for sure. when it's been 85+ for months and you get that first drop to 40ish, you're all bundled up. then when it's been near or sub-freezing for months and it goes to 60, you're out there in shorts and flip-flops.

one of the keys, riding-wise, is to set your window of what you will/will-not ride in and consistently ride in it. you get used to it and know how to dress, how you're going to feel, how extra factors like wind/sun/darkness will effect it, etc. it's hilarious when I see riders that spend all winter on the trainer come out in the spring on a 60 degree sunny day, completely bundled up with full tights, waterproof booties, balaclavas, bar mitts, softshell jackets, etc... meanwhile I'm out there in summer kit, with maybe an extra baselayer/knee and arm warmers. like I said, weather conditioning.
