Juicers proved to be "not worth the hassle" to me in terms of the clean-up.
Toss your fruit and veggies into a Vitamix (or similar) blender and drink it all.
You get all the fiber and rinsing the container with hot water takes a minute.

You'll spend more time cleaning a juicer after you use it vs. time spent actually juicing.

There are really 2 types of juicers.

1.) Centrifugal Juicer with spinning blades and such that you guessed it, spin the juice out of the pulp.
example:https://www.amazon.com/Breville-JE98XL-Fountain-850-Watt-Extractor/dp/B003R28HWQ/ref=sm_n_au_dka_US_pr_con_0_1?adId=B003R28HWQ&creativeASIN=B003R28HWQ&linkId=bb369be4bdd268b368d32e57126d7990&tag=goamazon2508-20&linkCode=w41&ref-refURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blenderversus.com%2Ftypes-of-juicers%2F&slotNum=0&imprToken=j.XditqWq0CMGsaV.goIpA&adType=smart&adMode=auto&adFormat=grid&impressionTimestamp=1578337215674

2.) Masticating Juicers, or 'Press'. These really seem to be the best juicers and get better juice out without exposing it to the heat of a centrifugal juicer.

Overall,
I had a Breveille like the one above. Bought it used and used it for about 2 years. Having to clean it after every use was a pain, but I tried to juice quite a bit before I cleaned it out for the day. In the end, I sold it and have saved a ton of time and money by simply eating the whole fruit and vegetable rather than juicing.

sounds like it's back to wholefoods for me.

I have the Breville Slow juicer, its the masticating type. We had the Juice fountain which is centrifugal - it made the juice really foamy so we returned it.

Overall, I never use it. And when I did I mostly used it to make nut milks but you can do that in a blender. I think the recommendation of just getting a nice blender is sound, I end up making some kind of smoothie concoction instead of just juice in reality.

We have an older top of the line Breville (all metal) for about 8 years and use it 2-3 times a week. Works really well and very powerful. Yes, you need about 10 minutes to properly clean it (especially the screen) but have always been impressed with the results.
I would avoid cheaper versions with plastic parts - buy the all metal model.
Ground up vegetables in a blender just doesn't appeal to me. A juicer allows you to extract the best bits into a smooth easy to consume beverage.

We have a Tribest Solostar 4 juicer, used for around a month or so. We researched the heck out of it before buying and found it much better than the huge, heavy masticating juicer we had before. But my wife fell out of the habit of using it, and it has been sitting since it was packed away for a pending move last spring. If anyone is interested in it, in box, with all attachments, lemme know.. :dancing carrot:

The juicer thing just didn’t work for me- such a mess and not really that tasty. Seems like you throw away the fiber.

LMK what you want for that juicer.

I might be interested.

Used the Breville centrifugal juicer for a couple years then got tired of the PITA cleanup.
Got a cheap Black and Decker blender and just use that now if I want a fruity drink. Much easier.

"They" say having the fiber is better than just the sugary liquid. Fills you up so you don't feel as hungry and continue craving sustenance.

The monster blenders (like Vitamix and similar) totally liquefy everything in the canister.
For example, I cannot even find those tiny seeds on strawberries that lesser blenders leave behind.
Pear cores, celery fiber, mango...everything gets incorporated into the base smoothie liquid.

I have a Tribest greenstar elite that I use on a weekly basis. It does a great job and I make 2 quarts a week all at once. It takes about 1/2 hour from start to finished clean-up. I use the juice for a slurry in the vitamix with some other stuff.
I mainly do a combo of carrot, apple, ginger, lime or lemon, celery and a english cuke.
Most think it is a PITA but 1/2 hr a week is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of life.
I have put all the stuff above in a vitamix and to get it to a full liquid state it heat the contents up to much and I still strain it through a nut bag.

I make the occasional fruit smoothie in my vitamix, but as far as 'juicing' in general, I'm not convinced it is nearly as healthy as simply eating vegetables.

Juicing removes the important fibre, and pretty much just leaves you with the concentrated sugar.
Putting veggies in the vitamix keeps the fibre, but it blends it so fine that I doubt the fibre ends up doing the same job in your body (think of a broom...) as if you had just chewed and injested it...

One can add a bit of twine and old brillo pads to icy-cold smoothies for extra fiber and scouring capability.

JUST KIDDING!

A course chop of whatever you're juicing (beets, carrots, celery), 30 seconds on high in the Vitamix with 1/4 cup of water, food strainer bag (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N8J2SBN/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07N8J2SBN&pd_rd_w=7PeSx&pf_rd_p=45a72588-80f7-4414-9851-786f6c16d42b&pd_rd_wg=5rSiD&pf_rd_r=9K1XE6QNFTDKM5SZCB0T&pd_rd_r=69197646-c0eb-43c8-98c8-429e4e0738eb&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFEMDJSRFZPVzYyVUYmZ W5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2MzUwODZHOU5MQzBKU0xSSFEmZW5jcnl wdGVkQWRJZD1BMDgyNzMzNVdDTFZVUUxVSUhPSiZ3aWRnZXROY W1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05 vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=) = juice. Super easy clean up.
