Seems Dave is no longer in the bike business.

May have seen some chatter on this forum but does anyone have official news?

Yeah, the scuttlebut seems to be that it is no more, or looking for a buyer. Heard that Cambria bought existing stock. Sad, I’ve had two Turners - awesome bikes, and superior customer service which was ahead of its time.

Could you elaborate on the customer service? Always interested in the details of service done well. Thanks!

Turner was always great at customer service - generally, no questions asked, would ship things out immediately, usually not even asking for postage, going above board when someone was in a jam (e.g., upcoming bike trip) etc. Just super helpful. This kind of thing is becoming a new normal, but 10 years ago it really set them apart. Also, Turner warranties were transferable, so even if you bought a bike second hand, they still honoured the warranty.

Thanks for the details.

Transferable warranty is surely a risk but reflects well on the maker in my eyes.

Sad to hear. My Turner Sultan is going on 13 years old and is still a great bike.

Owned 2 Turners. A Burner and a 5 Spot, both Horst Link. Extremely well made and designed. As mentioned, excellent customer service. I had the 5 Spot re-powder coated by Turner's powder coater and all the pivot bushing replaced. It was like new again. Great communication and stoke from Turner. They really stood behind their products. Sorry to see them go. Hoping Dave is on to other exciting projects.
