SKF has some new bearings for bike applications, MTRX, that are sealed and have the lubrication captured in a solid matrix. They were developed for mountain bike and cross use. They are interesting to me as they should be more resistant to dirt and water contamination, potentially very long like w similar cost. I heard about it on the Cyclocross podcast "Bike Shop CX". I will give them a try. Anyone tried them or have opinions?

I’ve been using these BB’s for a while. Durable, spin beautifully.

Love the Hawk BBs. I used them for years when I was using Dura-Ace cranks. Excellent ratings for BB efficiency too.
