Had the sail up here in Orlando too! Really windy even this far inland. But in shorts on Dec. 31 who cares!

The weird thing was that I rode about 60 miles or so and only saw a couple of folks. Would have thought that everyone would have been out this morning.

Plenty of wind in southeast Florida this morning. Returned from a 34 mile jaunt bringing the year-end total to 5,192. And, I hope to start the New Year off correctly by joining with Bill Bove and other friends riding a portion of the annual Hangover Hundred in the morning.

Best wishes for health and happiness in the year ahead to all and to those whom you love.

I know this might be hard for Floridians to believe......but I just got back from a 30 miler under deep blue skies, no wind, air temp of 36 degrees, and there's not a single thing I would change about that ride. Just perfect, so long as you're dressed in the right clothes.
Cheers to all the southern Serotta-pals and happy new year!

Great day for laundry and computer and TV and getting ready for daughter's annual New Year's Eve party.

Well, the annual party has only been the past two years as she is only almost 12. She invites the neighborhood kids for a few hours of snacks and fun before she and a couple of girlfriends stay up until midnight to celebrate the New Year and then sleep over. Maybe they will all ask to watch the 1989 or 1998 TDF DVD...talk about exciting!!!

Frank,
I had some sleety - drizzle on today's last ride of 2006 with the already wet roads - Happy New Year!

Overcast skies this a.m. w/ some wind gusts; but the temperature was in the high 60/low 70's. Got back by 10:30 a.m. and AJ :) , Opie :) (my dog and new puppy) and me went for a nice walk in the woods and they got to play in the creek. We were back at the house just before the rain, thunder, lightening, and wind started.
Happy New Year.
