I am assuming this is a losing quest. If I got a brand new latest model Wahoo Kickr for Zwift etc. and am still stuck in Campy 10 speed cassettes, is there any way to make this work? Thanks!

The last Kickr that would accept a Campy freehub was the 2016 model. I guess they decided it wouldn’t make financial sense for them to make it work when a huge majority of their users are either on cross-compatible 11 speed or Shimano-SRAM 9/10 speed cassettes.

This is actually THE major reason I sold mine and moved over to Tacx.

Is the issue fitting the cassette to the trainer?

If so:

Edit - I just noticed nothing listed for 2019, but has there been a new version since 2018?

Nice, those 2018 freehub apparently came out very recently. Good on them.Is the issue fitting the cassette to the trainer?

Oh, that freehub must be quite new. Thanks!

So,
1) Get the 2018 Kickr.
2) Take off what cassette comes on it.
3) Put the new campy freehub on it.
4) Put one of my 10 speed cassettes on it.
5) Put bike on the Kickr and ride.

Correct?
Will Zwift work with a flip phone?

You could use a Shimano 9 speed cassette and block off the high or the low gear.

Sigh, I'm having the same kinds of problems with a CycleOps Hammer... I can run Campagnolo 9, 10 or Shimano 7. None of which fit the available freehubs. Ngh...

Can't you just add spacers to get the 7sp to work?

Or, Google "Wahoo Kickr + Campagnolo cassette body ...

Read down the page for the fitting caveat.

sorry for resurrecting a slightly dead thread, but I recently inherited a beautiful campy 10sp equipped bike that I'd like to use for my 2019 Kickr. according to Wahoo and the other posters I can just buy the 2018 campy freehub here:

https://www.wahoofitness.com/devices/accessories/campagnolo-freehub-for-kickr-power-trainer

and just swap the freehub & cassette on my 2019 Kickr. lots of ppl complain in the product reviews that it shouldn't be additional cost/should be an initial purchase option, but nobody really says if they did it.

has anybody made the conversion successfully? since I got this sweet bike cheap &'m willing to plunk the $70 + scour for a budget 10sp campy cassette but I want to know it will work for sure before doing all the work. Any guinea pigs who done this already? Thanks!

I'm on Campy 10s too, on a Wahoo Kickr. I use this:

Interloc Campy Conversion Cassette (https://www.interlocracing.com/shop/product/ird-conversion-cassette-shimano-hub-campy-spacing-4929)

There's a good chance I have an extra too. I'll know tomorrow. PM me.

EDIT: Turns out, I don't.

Friction shifting. If you can, that solves all your problems

I have a 6 speed campy bike that I kinda want to put on my first gen kickr. I think that the rear hub spacing is wrong. It is friction shifting. If I spread the rear triangle what would be a good cassette to use? Or just keep using my 11 speed bike......

i bought the campy freehub adapter for my 10-speed campy, then shortly after upgraded to 11-speed chorus, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

i'd be happy to sell you my freehub body for $50 (installed and taken off immediately), if you don't go with this shimano/campy cassette. one thing to note: you have to find campy cassettes with that 4 spline pattern on the wahoo site, which actually proved to be pretty annoying. from what i found, 10-speed chorus cassettes seemed to fit the bill - and plenty of them on ebay. let me know if you want it.

Best thing to do is to build a dedicated trainer rat. Find a cheap aluminum frame on CL, build it up with leftover/cheap parts as needed...no need to disturb/reconfigure/rust/tweak other bikes....

Agree.

I used my old Jamis 9 speed on the Kickr. It works great and I use ERG most of the time for interval workouts, it is even less important to switch gears.
