winter bike!

set up is cheapo (Sram Rival/Apex), currently has HED Ardennes as main bike is at the shop. Reg winter wheels are H+Son laced 3x to ultegra hubs and gatorskin tires. Great, fun bike to ride.

For me there is no better example in red than Colnago Saronni PR82 (that is a beautiful bicycle KarlC), but just for red paint ideas this below was an interesting group.

At the 2017 Paul Camp the 11 invited builders were restricted to red, white, and blue (and Paul Components) of course. The results were interesting, across the board. I don't personally like any of the blue stems/posts at all here, but for red paint the Rex, Hunter, and Caletti look great to me.

(There was also an all-red/no panels Rex published in the old "Asphalt" magazine years ago, which looked amazing, but I can't find the images anymore; and I think someone here had posted a completely red (I think) DeKerf, the one with the hole in the stem? I can't find that one either.)

Looks more red in person. 1978? Bob Jackson, modified by Peter Weigle (and painted by his (ex?) wife circa 1984. No decals other than the one on the head tube due to cheap nature of all its owners. My first red bike.

Custom Waterford. I don't need the spacers, just thought the extra steerer might make it more desirable for the next owner. Hard to see in the photos but the darker red terminates in flames on the TT and DT.
