Appealing to the collective knowledge: the wife and I are likely moving to Oregon in early 2020. She's looking to have some really basic modifications done to her bike, adding some rack bosses and fender mounts. Frame/fork are steel. The builder who originally crafted the frame no longer builds (Icarus), so that's not an option. To minimize shipping..etc. we were thinking about sending it ahead before we move (one less bike to travel with, too) and picking it up when we get there.

So, anyone know a framebuilder who would be willing to work on someone else's frame, located in OR? Ideally Eugene?

+1 if they paint...

I'll second black-magic - they do great work and can coordinate any repairs with ti-cycles, which is in the same building.

If you want to learn more about the company, listen to this podcast with Rudi Jung, the founder: https://podcasts.apple.com/bw/podcast/45-rudi-jung-of-black-magic-paint/id1386884834?i=1000445250764

Rob English is located in Eugene. Not sure if he does stuff like that though. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

You likely could not have come to a better state for something like this. Lots of folks can address your needs. Where in Oregon? There are builders running from Medford/Ashland to Portland and others in between.

Co-motion in Eugene can do this but I don't know if they do repairs on other bikes than their own.

Simple in Portland. Oscar was the production lead for Cielo and has done many contract jobs for "brand name" builders. Does it all. https://www.simplebicycleco.com/

Great suggestions here, thanks all. I'll send out some emails and see what works.
