Perhaps a forumite can enlighten me after too much time browsing Miche and Mavic's uber-useless websites.
On a modern Mavic wheel, (Ksyrium Elite to be exact), can one use a Miche 9 speed cassette with an 11t top gear? Miche's "sprockets table" seems to indicate that I cannot, but I am unconvinced. It does seem to say that it is only possible on either shimano or campy splined carriers.
Second question while I'm at it: Will both shimano and campy splined Miche cassettes work with a campy rear derailleur, assuming I can resolve the hub issue? I don't see anything that would indicate that the spacing is different, only the spline patterns.
In case anyone's curious, I'm trying to find a way to build up my new cross rig with a single ring setup that I can easily change to more road-friendly gearing, while sticking with 9 speed veloce shifting. It's pretty complicated trying to keep this thing sweet and simple!
