Three and a half hours on the trainer

Got caught up on some world tour races, finished a documentary on Netflix - it was nice.

Also did a good fall hike w my better half.

Livestrong century. This year was very good weather and a large, fast crew.

Like clockwork I blew up at mile 94. No gas left for two short but steep climbs.

But I caught up with buds and had a smoking time.

48 miles on a Zanconato aluminum bike today.:)

Did a 35 miler around the lake here. 48℉, cool and foggy at the start. 62℉ and sunny at finish. Warm enough to encourage someone to imitate a lifeguard.

The top is not a shot from today, but this is the bike.

BTW, those Challenge Eroicas are amazing tires. And for the doubters, no flats... as usual. ;)

Out on the mountain bike FINALLY.

Trashed my ankle months ago and by the time it was getting better I was  "training" for the senior games TT.

That's done and finally back in the woods. Took awhile to start getting used to the rhythm and feel again. Felt so good.

Did a mixed dirt/road ride. It was on the cool and foggy side.

Don't have a pic of the bike but did the Peak 2 Peak MTB race in northern Michigan Saturday. Great course and rode fairly fast, or so I thought. Apparently all the fast guys are in the 50-52 category. Had fun though.

After some nice midweek rides (https://www.instagram.com/p/B3th6YWIa77/) it got quite rainy this weekend. ~190km with 3100m of climbing in the rain and fog (https://www.instagram.com/p/B3375UDoNQP/) was a real change of pace from the weekday sun.

Couple of hours on the Firefly, couple of hours on the Pivot MTB, and a ride into town and back on the Bob Jackson. Hard to complain!

Saturday - the streetcar with my daughter to run errands - she loves streetcar adventures
Sunday - a bus to Buffalo to watch the Bills

Feeling guilty I missed two great fall days of riding to see one mediocre football game.

Road, dirt, gravel, cross - it doesn't matter what you ride as long as you enjoy the experience. A mid-60s sunny day in upstate NY does not disappoint!

haha I had the opposite yesterday. Cold, and rainy and started 20 miles in out of my 80. It sucked but it was wonderful at the same time.

No pics either but did a nice 65 miler up the coast with my brother, he on my Ottrott and I on my Gios. Beautiful day with relatively light traffic…glad we got out before the Santa Anas kicked in.

Coconino MTB on Saturday. Set a PR on a Strava segment I didn't even know existed. Didn't know any of the route was mapped. 70 degrees, almost no wind, blue skies.

It was chilly in the morning when I went out , cut my ride short but did a couple of local climbs before calling it a day.

I rode almost 12 miles, with one small rest stop along the way.

No pictures, but man-o-man was it ever fun

https://vimeo.com/368040643Awesome stuff! I caught myself in your extended video.

The tall guy on the black and neon yellow lettered Specialized at minute 4:39ish. Was an animal. He pulled for 25% of the ride. He'd just got to the front and pulled, and pulled, and pulled. I sat in. [emoji854]

The Slovakian guy was nice too, very strong. Mountain bike rider.

I took this guy out for my first ride for a few weeks late Saturday...work is cutting into my fun time... Did my lap up into Hariman--felt really creaky.

I decided I kind of like this bike still, though...

67 miles on rolling Virginia countryside roads on Saturday with My Friend Gary and 1498 other folks. 3:58, which at 68 years old was a new record for me.

I rode the Quick 'n Dirty Filthy 50 on my Pivot Mach 429 SL. A hard but good ride and a fun day. It was very hot so some heatstroke cases, DNFs and for some reason more than a few crashes.
