I'd suggest starting with standard Testor's Bright Red. You can add a teeny bit of white, black, yellow, blue, etc. depending on the specific red on the frame. I do most of my paint mixing on a Ziploc bag.

You have no idea how bad im at that thing of mixing... tried some tamiya italian red i had moving around and is not the same at all and i got some other hobby red and did not work too well either :D

Hope somebody knows something about it.

no idea on EM color code. On my screen the color looks like a straight up cadmium red.

With mixing you should make a pallet card with a tiny bit of paint in a small Dixie cup. That way you can get the shade you want. Also making a full batch you can match it to your pallet card. And make sure it's the right safe without having to waste a bunch of paint.

I use an oil based enamel paint called one shot you can pick it up at blicks. And I'm sure other art stores carry it. Or you can buy it on line.

Hope this helps?

I think this monstrosity of a slime blend can show you that adding a bit of white or yellow can slowly make a difference.

I know the green looks like Garbage but I went with something different in the end lol

Hope this helps. Good luck op!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191020/6a0a10686e74d09d78bee47b6cd43fae.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191020/ad2985a6693a03946215daed4554d221.jpg

Good luck. I have a blue EM (posted elsewhere) that I've tried to color match and have just given up. It's a dark maybe-navy blue - with black, purple, and who knows what else.

You can likely get a color match at an automotive paint shop. Carry the fork in and I’m sure they can match it. Minimum buy is likely a pint so you might be out 20-25 bucks.

Best

Thanks for the sugestions.... I thought in 1-shot paint but the sucker goes in the expensive side for so little paint, the bad part is that nobody aorund here has it, thought on that brand tho....

Tried mixing the tamiya paint but did not work... gonna check in the Jobber (car paint place) and see if they have the machine for that.

Will keep you guys posted...

BTW have some mazda red and was not a match at all, went too dark at the time of drying, I even added some clearcoat to it to avoid reclearing (making it 1 stage paint) and same results, bright but too dark that you can tell is not even a close color :/

It's called a Ferrari red in catalogues.

Looking for red ferrari I found a hobby paint called Zero paint, they have it... humbrol the same... in other places they say that tamiya italian red is the same but did not work for me, wonder if i did not get the color because i paint on top of the other one and thats why got like darker... need to get the tiny can because mine was the spray and those tend to be more transparent.

The humbrol one is glossy so it has clear over it, the Zero Paint brand I think is a 2 stage acrylic paint for hobby so it should need clearcoat on top, always you can make it 1 stage adding clear to it too.
