this bike fits my bill to replace my geekhouse after my back surgery. If it were 11 speed would of jumped faster. Gearing is actually fine for now as I ride/live in RI and don't travel much. Would prefer a "name" builder, but sure this will be hard to find.
thanks

I would say that this is between a 1200-1700 bike. Lynskey makes an excellent bike. It will ride great, but does not have the cache' other builders do. That doesn't mean they are not great bikes because they are.
I would see if lynskey has any of these on closeout. You can likely buy the frame fork and headset from lynskey new for under $1,000 and it will have a lifetime warranty and then piece together the parts you want to put on it from the classifieda here, but if you are truly interested in this particular one then I would offer in the range posted above.
The older xt, bar ends and rest of the components are not high dollar resale stuff and the used frameset doesnt have the kind of resale value as a Moots/Firefly/Mosaic/No22. Still a great bike, but Lynskey blows out there bikes and frames over the next few months and its not unheard of to win a frameser at ebay auction directly from them for $600-$900 brand new!

I agree, Lynskey makes fine bikes. They do dump inventory on the market periodically, tanking second-hard ti bike sales. I got my Urbano frameset during one of those eBay sell-offs, and other ti framesets at a discount when the sellers got desperate because of the depressed market. It's really about timing.
That said, if rim brakes aren't a show stopper Moots Vamoots show up all of the time for much less. Moots DRs occasionally show up for around that price range. Other, lust-worthy marques show up here that have tempted me severely.

Hard for me to believe you can get one, and in this seemingly perfect condition, built up with equal parts at this price. With this one, you get a superb bike nicely equipped and ready to roll.
If you piecemeal one together, it'll end up costing more.
I'd bid $2k then up it if need be.

Hiltop is right, not a $2k bike there. Be sure the geometry works for you, they pulled the backroads #'s a few weeks ago. 20 percent off 2019 bikes and frames right now on the Lynskey site.
