The bottom bracket bearings on my cross bike have failed miserably and I'm having a hard time locating affordable replacements.

Bike: Fuji Cross 1.3 disc
BB interface: BB86 (41mm x 86.5mm)
Crankset: Oval Concepts (spindle 24mm drive side, 22mm non drive side)

I'm not interested in ceramic Kogel or WheelsMFG for $60+....I'm looking for the cheap, standard $8/ea steel bearings.

Thanks!

The SRAM BB86 cups are cheap and GXP is what you need based on the above.

Brand new for $30

thanks, helpful

I saw these styles online, but does someone not just make simple, individual bearings?

I'm not sure yet if the BB shell has the bearing locating c-clips in it or if a sleeve-style BB like this one will fit through (haven't removed crankset yet)

I don't think you can just R&R the bearings, but I haven't tried.

If you want that availability, Enduro BBs are what you're looking for. Get the screw-together version for least creakiness.

Look at the number on your old bearings and get the same thing from ebay. Might not fit very well in the plastic cup by the time you remove the old ones, though. Which is why it would be better to replace the whole thing.

Answer to your question is no.

Buy the SRAM GXP bb86 set.
