A friend at work just had the rear passenger window regulator fail on her 2007 3 series (I suspect, based on description of what happened). She lives down in the Richmond/Charlottesville area and I’m in Boston, so I’m hoping someone here knows a good indy shop in that area. There’s more than a few car folks on here. Any suggestions?

Window regulators are a well-known problem area for BMW and a good indy shop will know how to do it a lot cheaper than a daeler will charge,

Agree. Here’s a way to find a good BMW independent shop near you:

If you can do some mechanic the regulator is not hard to change, just need the tool thingys to remove the trims and those can be found at harbo Freight.

Sure in you tube there's videos of the same repair.
