7:15am - my pal rides down the hill and stops outside my house.
7:16am - I walk outside with bike, greet friend, and hop aboard.
8:45am - return home. Everyone is still asleep, nothing is amiss and I got in 13 pretty cold miles, catching up on the doings of my pal, enjoying car-free roads, maintaining a blistering 14avg, and yaking all the way.

Can't start a Christmas day any better than that. Now excuse me while I go slip this very cold body next to my wife's very warm one.

Kids up early, and presents all open. Everyone relaxing. Window of opportunity to ride coming up..and I'm heading out soon...after I help prep the Christmas dinner.

a day of grace after days of pouring rain. . .weak sun, warm, beautiful. . .did the Mercer Island ride. the hills and the s-curves go so smooth if you hit it counter-clockwise from the bridge. nice to see other folks out there.

the power company guys must be making good money today, still working to clear up the downed lines and trees from the big storm.

oh yeah, I saw Santa bobbing in Lake Washington, full regalia, ski-tips up and ready to go. he gave me the two-hand wave as I passed by on the floating bridge. . . ha! nuts!
