I'm a Rene' Herse Bon Jon Pass devotee - but wish I could run slightly skinnier tires wtih some suppleness that are also tubeless. Am I dreaming? Anyone having any recs?

Thanks in advance.

the slick gravel kings come in 32 and are tubeless, that is probably the closest thing.

the new continental gp5000's also come in 32c and tubeless, they seem to be getting very good reviews too.

side note: i was not aware until your post prompted me to look, i wonder why the stempede pass tires are not tubeless compatible? i would have thought they would be by now? i wonder if there will be an update to these to make them tubeless in the near future?

The new Pro One TLE are markedly better in feel than the previous Pro One and the latest GP5K TL. Though they don't come in 32c they do come in 30c.

Even handling the casing you can tell the difference in feel between the previous gen and the new one. Time will tell whether they're better an puncture protection and wear than the previous gen.

Will try to do a back to back with some GP5K when I have the chance. So far from my recollections the GP5K feel faster and have better grip, but the Pro One TLE feels much cushier.

They for sure do, I'm running a pair and while I only have a few rides on them, I really like them. I also ran Bon Jon Pass when they first came out and really liked them but the GK are about half the price and feel like a good choice.
I will note that on the 25 mm internal rims I have they plump up to 35mm.

here they are for 36 bucks a piece. GK's really are a bargain tire!

Have been running the 30mm model on my disc road bike for a season. They feel plenty fast, were very easy to set up tubeless, and measure closer to 31mm on 21mm internal rims.

Great value indeed. I think I'll be grabbing a pair. Also, 10% eBay Bucks through the 19th. Requires activation. Miraculously, the last two things I purchased have qualified!

big fan of the specialized roubaix 30/32

Not expensive, tubeless, 32mm (do measure closer to 35mm on my wide rims). Comfortable tire, fast-ish, I really like em.

I also liked the G-One Speed 30mm, until it outgrew my bike after a while. It's now just shy of 32mm on a 20 internal and not clearing well enough

Is the new Pro One TLE an honest 30 or bigger? I recall the previous version exceeded the nominal width. I am tying to decide if the 30 will get too big or be just right. Trying to maximize volume without exceeding clearance here.

New Pro One TLE is smaller. They run pretty much true to size on 19mm ID rims. So roughly 2mm smaller in width and 1mm smaller in height compared to the previous version.

Are you riding only paved surfaces? Or also some gravel?

Mostly paved, wretched western Sonoma County pavement.

Careful when ordering the GravelKings, as there are two versions of the tires - one is tubeless (TLC logo) and generally more expensive, one isn't and is usually cheaper. It's easy to miss, and think you're getting a bargain.

Also be aware that in any of the widths, the max PSI is 60 when running tubeless. They're wonderful tires if you can run them low enough :)

I have been happy with my Hucthison Sector 32s but I have been curious to try the WTB Exposure 30s. I have read they do measure larger than 30. Does anyone have experience with them?

I've run both tubeless and while while the puncture resistance is good. The sidewalls are really stiff making the ride quality very mediocre imho.

On 21.5mm ID rims, my 28mm TLEs are out to about 31mm width.

So far, they're vastly superior to previous versions. I've ridden pretty rough gravel roads on Tam on them without issue at 65-75psi, they feel pretty decent on pavement, and they seat/mount very easily. No punctures so far.

The ride isn't up to that of a cotton tubular, but it's damned good for what they are.

Can anyone compare the Pro One TLE with the BJP? Similar to the OP, when my BJPs need to be replaced, I'm also thinking about going with a slightly narrower tire, and the TLE sounds like it might be a good option.

The 32's for $30 from CC are tubeless compatible and setup super easy. I don't love the poo brown color tho.............
