With road hubs swapping wheels is always a pain cause the cassette is always in a different position hub brand to hub brand.

Does anyone know if the XD standard for boost in particular has solved this? I have two sets of i9 boost wheels for my mtb and obviously swapping is a breeze. I just toasted one and want to buy something cheaper as a replacement, also xd. Wondering if wheel swaps will be as painless if I go with something cheap like Stan’s.

Thanks!!!!

I'm using wheels with a variety of different hubs, and I've had only one hub that was far enough out of spec. to offset the cassette enough to matter. What wheels/hubs have you been using?

Why would XD freehubs change anything? It is up to the hub manufacturers to make sure that the freehub/cassette offset is correct, regardless of whether it is a standard splined freehub or an XD freehub.

I have a thru axle 650B and 700C wheelset that I go back and forth with. No adjustments required.
