I contacted this gentleman, got the serial number and then got the build sheet from James.

It is a 2004 model, not 2006 as he states and it is not a stock 60 cm bike. It is custom with a 60.60 top tube and a 1.5 head extension.

Just a little warning to anyone who may be looking at this auction. (I think his prices are WAY too high, but....your opinion might vary).

Just looking out for my fellow Forumites.

He fixed the auction text (finally) and put up the Serotta spreadsheet.

I still think he is asking way too much $$$.

Your opinions may vary.

Good luck!

Agreed. Particularly since Bike Gallery in Portland is offering several Ottrott demo bikes for thousands less.

I sent him a message inquiring about the year and he fessed up that it's a 2004 and in his words "but nothing is different from a 2006 bike."

Caveat emptor.....

..might be true, except to the buyer of the bike.

edit: I see he did change the auction details to reflect the correct year of the bike.

For what he is asking, it will never sell.

And he did put the Serotta build spreadsheet (that I forwarded to him) in the auction.

But, it will never sell...

Um...I thought they had a refinement in the carbon tubes between 2004 and 2006 for the OttRott?

Um...I thought they had a refinement in the carbon tubes between 2004 and 2006 for the OttRott?

They changed the manufacturer of their CF tubing to Reynolds.

My understanding is that this frame was built after the changeover- Its a late model 2004.

I have a 2004 Ottrott ST. They did change the carbon tubing between 2004 and 2006. The tubing got lighter. The carbon tubing is Torsion Core now, whatever that is. I don't think my bike has that tubing.

Getting older and needing new tubing,
