Spelling aside, I have not seen one ever, in person- anybody holding?

Assuming this is referring to a Serotta Meivici, I think I've seen a total of two on person, though one was an aero version that didn't look as nice as the round-tube one ATMO. There are a few listed on eBay at the moment.

Having purchased Bill's old one, I see one every day too. ;)

What I would say, beyond fit being priority #1, make sure the tubing fits your style/personality too.

10.5 tubing for a 130lbs rider may not be the best fit. Nor is potentially 6.5 for someone who is say 250lbs.

Find one that meets criteria though, may be about as good as it gets.

Does anyone know where this can be found on the build sheet? Every single one I've seen has zero mention of what tubes were used, nor does it have any sort of specification as to how stiff or soft it was built. This goes for all Serottas btw, not just Meivicis

I have one.....my pal Andy has one of the few Meivici AE’s built. My dear friend Pete (Serotta Pete) had one that his son-in-law now has.

Should say on build sheet. At least does on the older models.

I bought Jeff N.'s and it was without a doubt the best-climbing bike I've ever had. Power (what little I have) directly to the pedal. Unfortunately it was a little bit too stiff.

Post up a sheet you've got a question about. I'm not sure that decoding a "build sheet" for you here will lead to a productive level of understanding, but the materials are clearly called out. To begin, you should understand that these were documents produced for internal use, not meant to issue a story useful to buyers nor to salesmanship.
Often this forum makes a substantial mountain out of which side of the normal distribution's bell curve molehill of materials from which a particular example frame might have been constructed. I do realize that I am mixing metaphors and visualizations à propos Serotta tubing. Finding an example that interests you, getting it assembled, then riding it is likely a very fruitful path to understanding.

I still have mine and love it.

Original DPF logo painted on the seat tube, my name on the top tube, and Ben’s signature on the right chainstay.

The Serotta carbon forks also had three levels of stiffness. There is usually a decal on the outside of the blades that indicates the number. Some customer deleted the decal when selecting their finish.
The best reason for a custom frame is that the tubes are selected (or engineered) for that specific rider; their riding style and desired level of comfort. One reason to know the previous owner or ask for the build sheet.
2nd, etc, owners often changed forks to adjust to their style.

Kelly Bedford and I spent a fair amount of time choosing tubes and the fork for mine.

This has always been one of my favorite bikes.

Terrific article on all the stuff Serotta did back in the day, and helped explain why those Meivici's were BIG BUCKS.

I wonder if the Pez guy is still riding it these days, 10 years later.

Cool bike, though looking at the scale of their production facility compared to the scale of their output, it's not hard to imagine how they got into financial difficulty.

Have seen a few Meivicis around here. Think Cool Planet Bikes up in Burlington always has one or two available, too.

Also get to see this bike everyday. HSG carbon - poor man's Meivici - works well for me. (Guess I have to post the link to another thread where pic is posted: https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=117373&page=2 ) It's the black one.

Marvelous, now I have another unachievable n+1 to add to my list. These are truly beautiful bikes.

Hm. Throw a few specs of dust on your binoculars used to see "scale" from a piece of consumer bike press, and a comfy chair in which to apply your skills of imagination regarding financial difficulty, and then statements like that one above quickly diminish in meaningful content.

I'm pretty sure I saw the Pez Meivici on the 2015 One Day Ride Across Michigan. An older gentleman was riding it. Hopefully Charles will chime in on this topic. It was a spectacular bike. I talked to the rider a bit after the event. He loved the bike.

One thing I know for sure about the tubing of my MeiVici is that the tubes were mitered impeccably.

I had one back in 2009 - I couldn't really say why, but it was weirdly inert to ride, just felt kind of lifeless.
