Specifically these:

Shimano PF30s sit flush with the edge of the BB shell

So how do these work? Aren't the BBs to wide for the crank?

These are designed for 24mm Shimano cranksets, not BB30/PF30 cranksets.

Your first link is for PF30 frames, which have a 68mm wide shell.

Their BB meant for PF30 frames to be used with 68mm wide BB30 cranks does sit flush https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/pf30/pf30-threaded-angular-contact-bb-black.html

As does their BB meant for BB86 frames with Shimano cranks

they're an excellent way to have non-BB30-specific cranks on a BB/PF-30 frame. and to get a more stable bearing situation (though that's particular to BB30, not PF30) - no creaking, more easily swapped at home.

i have the PF30 to Shimano like the one you listed...installation and swap-outs are easy-peasy and so much smoother/quieter than any PF bearing. Plus you can switch out to a Shimano crank and get better shifting up front. If they're not flush to the BB face, you're doing it wrong.
