So what bike make/model was Piccoli riding in the Tour of Utah prologue?

KHS doesn’t have a TT bike in their 2019 lineup. It’s amusing that in 2019 bike racers still have bikes from other brands painted in their sponsor’s colors. It’s throwback Monday!

Thanks! I’m not well versed on TT bikes.

Wednesday they're going right past my house so I'm taking the day off. Once they pass the house I'll either go catch them at the sprint zone or right before the killer finishing climb up Powder Mt. What a way to finish a stage. 3054 ft up in only 6 miles. Grade hits over 20% at places. A legit HC category climb that my legs freakin' hate.

That's Powder Mt in the backgound.

looks like a road bike to me. Was the Prologue and uphill TT?

Yeah, the pictured riders are all riding normal road bikes.

Just a 5.3km up and down course according to the article. So guessing they just rode their normal road bikes. Looks like an incredible place to ride. That's a brutal climb, but beautiful.

The photos in the article were apparently updated this evening. The original photos showed Piccoli on a TT bike:

Original photos accompanying the article weren't from Utah - had to read the text captions for the photos - cycling news does that sometimes - photos of rider from another event attached to the story

Nairo Quintana's brother Dayer is riding this. Wonder if he's got those climbing legs like his brother.

Just watched the stage on Fox Sports Detroit. They were on regular road bikes. An incredible setting. Utah is stunning.
