Just getting ramped up on a Monday morning, but still a smile on my face from a perfect weather/riding weekend.

found some roads in central jersey yesterday that were just perfect. the kind of loop that makes a gravel hungry roadie weep with joy. very well groomed roads, low low traffic (none?) and good temperature. mostly tree covered shaded all day.

i want to modify this loop a bit, and stand by - i'll post a forum ride for the fall on most of these roads. as good as this weekend was, i will bet the colors out here will explode in the fall.

few pics below, the rest of them on my blog here:

Very nice.

It certainly was a stellar weekend for riding up here in the Northeast. Dry northerly winds with temps in the 70s were perfect for riding.

We are in NH right now and I got a great dirt ride in on Sat. Pics later...

Wow, what pic's! Makes me homesick and want to move back east. I see you're channeling your inner Velotel! :)

Really nice.
Wish there was more of that kind of road where I am. I’d be on it in a flash.

Weather was extraordinary, got out for my usual loop in Harriman. Those roads in NJ look great!

It's been a while since I've ridden there, but I think I recognize that bridge.

Looks great.

I lived in Montclair for two years and spent a few weekends exploring points to the North and West - NJ is full of surprises.

Angry, Been in Central Jersey all my life and some how I missed these roads. Any chance you can link the route somewhere? Love to try something new. Thx

Great to hear.....with all the bad news about cars/cyclists and the rest of the crazy news cycle it's nice to just get out and ride!!

I had an awesome few days of riding as well.....knocked out 200mi and 10k feet of climbing in the Santa Monica mountains. Unfortunately it was nearly all solo riding, but I did bump into Laird Hamilton riding his MTB up Latigo Canyon, which was pretty cool as I've always been a huge fan and he was grinding away just getting in a daily workout!
