You'll need a custom frameset to accommodate that, but once installed, they should wear like iron and yet also you'll cost for replacements will be lower than some typical-size Mavic or Vittoria tires.

Michelin. I still use a combination of PR4's and Endurance. Usually found cheap. And I don't have any problems with them. Seem to be plenty "Hi Performance" to me.

Mounting a 235/40R17 on your bicycle will radically reduce the number of pinch flats you encounter.
Acceleration is mediocre and may suffer even more towards the end of your weekend club rides.

Is that tire size for one of the new wheel standards being introduced by Specialized? Innovate or Die! ;)

I'd wait on the results from Bicycle Rolling Resistance's upcoming tests before pulling the trigger.

Don't forget to factor in your tire trail, otherwise you and your tires will explode.
