needs our help! Apparently, their earnings are down 25% from same quarter last year. It seems all those carbo-haters out there are trying to drive them under.

I believe that I may be solely at fault. I gave up extra sweets for lent, my personal consumption over those forty long days could have easily accounted for 25% of gross annual sales :)

Krispy Kream, a little bit of heaven that you put in your mouth.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Dr. Atkins, roll over in your cold grave.

the low-carb craze will fade. the human body just craves 'em. if that is what is hurting krispy, that stinks. why can't low carb mania kill wonder bread? or frozen pizza? or rice cakes? at least KK stands for something, has character, and taste!!! eating better is great and all...but what's the point of living in a world without donuts?

I'm going to stop at KK on my training ride this morning. If we can get Sandy to stop by, it will be a record quater for KK.

Climb;

As a Boston area local - How DARE you insult Wonder Bread? ;)

The aroma wafting out of the original WOnder Bread Bakery in Natick, the school trips, the TWINKIES!! :D

It was kid heaven.

It appears Mr. Bove, aka The Big Pink, will be joining us at Open House and for the Boston to Saratoga caravan. We need to make some plans in the next couple of weeks as to meeting times and locations for this great adventure.

I grew up about two miles away from the Wonder Bread bakery, sometimes I could smell it from my bedroom window :) Wednsday was seconds day, twinkie had too much filling, weighed too much or a Sno Ball wasn't just right, whatever we got 'em cheap :D

I will be booking my flight Monday. Trying to get it so I arrive at Logan on Thursday and depart on Monday. Key Lime pie anyone?

I had my first and last KK a few weeks ago. The icing is sicking. I don't believe
it is compsed of real sugar. Compare a KK to a DD french cruller. The icing
on the DD tates real.

No KK's for me.

Although I do believe KK to be better than Dunkin' Donuts, I also factor quantity into the equation. After a dozen DD beuties I'm pretty much satisfied where as with KK, I'm just getting going at dozen mark. I ALWAYS take advantage of the two dozen special. (insert big, big fat smiley here)

. . . ANY of you guys EVER complain again about how slow you may be on any particular day if THIS is what you are eating!

I can think of NO other food that could be as bad for you as doughnuts. Cheesecake, maybe, but that’s IT. :butt:

BBDave . . . Who encourages all owners weekend attendees to eat as many KK’s as they can hold so he can drop you all faster than Britney Spears’ drawers!

I'm willing to buy Hypnos a dozen K**2 or D**2 before any ride.

Donuts suck.

The Doc is a muffin man...and if he's in Asheville, he and I go to the Blue Moon bakery to get a properly made croissant...no shortening or super-stable for transport trans-fats, just real dough turned four times between chillings, nothing but flour, cold water, yeast, and butter...mmmmmm...but 99% of all U.S. croissants suck.

Oh yeah...and we think your braided twist long john is too short....

God he and I are a pathetic Euro-Weenie bike and pastry snob...but we still like wrestling and porn so we must be ok...
