Was riding with a buddy this weekend. We crossed over a gravel road and his rear tire/frame started making all kinds of terrible noises. Tolerances were so tight that his 25w tire had picked up enough gravel to grind into the frame.

(his bike is one of those with the aero seat post fyi)

Anyhow, he was riding GP4000s, which I have always considered a taller tire. Can you suggest something not quite so tall that will still allow him to run a 25 in the rear?

THANKS!

Veloflex master. He probably has wide rims which make a 25c continental really 27.

This. If his bike has such little clearance that some debris on the tire was rubbing the frame, going down a size makes the most sense.

Michelins and Scwable run shorter for a given width.
