My bike came with thru axles with no levers on the ends. That means 6mm allen key to remove the wheels and no big deal. But the axles came on DT wheels and I was wondering if this product will plug any thru that uses a 6mm key? Or do they only work with a certain kind of thru?

If you leave em on the bike what keeps them from falling out?

The RWS end you mention is skewer specific.

Sure you could use that as as a 6mm allen wrench but it'll fall out without the right skewer/retaining bolt/spring to make it stay.

Compared to something like this from TheRobertAxleProject that gets that knob out of the way.

While I haven't used the all, I think the Paragon axles are the best of that type as you can use a 12mm box wrench, 6mm hex or even a 5mm hex on the business end.

You can buy one of the DT RWS skewers. I'd keep the lever in my bag or tool roll or whatever anyway.

I have the DT's, came stock on my canyon, with 1 lever. 6mm allen works as well (I didn't understand that they were removable, so I put the front wheel on with allen wrench when I got the bike). They push in and lock, no issues in 6k+ miles so far. Highly recommend, put one on the back wheel and forget about it. Don't 100% know if cross compatible though, the TAs aren't marked DT, or anything else for that matter.
