Figured I would not sabotage the other Bend thread as I would like suggestions for mtn trails a 4.75 yr old can ride. He's pretty strong and good to go for distance but need to keep the technical level as low as possible.
I will be able to help him up hills if there is enough width to ride side by side.
(maybe i should look into that product that lets you tow kids up hills then quickly disconnect for the downhill)

On a side note, we looked into rentals and the smallest bike we could find was a 20" Trek Roscoe. He test rode one locally and it was way too big for him even though he is fairly comfortable (its still too big) on his 20" Woom. Our current plan is to ship his bike there and back.

Will be there the end of August.
Thanks!

Deschutes River Trail. Not the in-town section, but the south-of-town section to Benham Falls (continues to Sunriver). My kids have enjoyed that trail since the same age.

The further south you go, the more climbs/challenges for that age, but nothing insurmountable.
