I know it is a phrase, but I didn't think someone actually does it...:)

Brings back memories of my dad calling cows growing up.

They are interested....in being fed.

Well that was a new one. Has the canine sheep herder union weighed in? :)

Reminds me of a surf trip to Nicaragua. We were walking into a surf spot and we passed by a large heard of cattle, and every cow turned and stared at us. I've walked by plenty heards of cows before and never had this happen. Maybe they were thinking...what are these gringos doing here :D

Growing up on the farm, whenever the fence would go down in a storm, the horses were always the ones out of the pasture we'd have to go over hill and dale to corral and bring back.

The cows? Never left the perimeter. God bless 'em.

depends on the cows and how they are normally fed. When I was 8-ish on my uncle's farm, he was working in the back 40 and I walked there to ride the tractor with him. On the way, I had to go through a field with cows. They all crowded around me. Freaked me out enough I grabbed the electric fence to climb over. Oops. When I was older, I walked through the neighbors cows more than once and they all pretty much ignored me.

In Hollywood actors call that a cattle call.

Pretty good.
