I'm planning my vintage bike party again for July 20. North Bend WA As in previous years, we'll do a ride first thing, then come back and look at bikes and cook up some vittles and (responsibly) drink a few beverages. No judging, no rules. We just look, admire, tell lies, brag a little, cry a little, reminisce, and generally misbehave. As usual, I provide beverages and snacks and desserts. You bring something to grill on the barbie. Bring all your favorite bikes to show. There is plenty of room in the back yard. I'll drag a few out myself. Here is a map to my house https://goo.gl/maps/1te5YoWS928wzgDy7

For the ride, we'll have two start options. We are riding up every local's favorite road, the Snoqualmie Middle Fork. We'll leave here at 9, but if you aren't up for a 35 mile gently climbing round trip, you can meet us at the Snoqualmie Middle School, at the start of the nice part of the ride, at 9:30. Here's a little map to that. https://goo.gl/maps/WFc3emHZYqkswu5C7 It's 24 miles round trip from there, though you can turn around at any time. Climbs a whopping 564 feet. It's extremely beautiful, with baby butt-smooth pavement, and river, mountain, and tree views to make your eyes pop. And very little traffic. Saturday is the busiest day up there, but if we pass ten cars each way I'd be surprised. You might see more bikes than cars. There are bathrooms several places along the way, but no services and no cell phone service. In any case, we should be back by about 12:30.

If you are coming from out of town, you might want to make a reservation in any of our fine 1 1/2 star motels, or feel free to camp in the back yard if you are up to it or in your RV in the driveway. You might get a nice pancake, egg, and bacon breakfast if you do. We'll do another ride out of town on Sunday somewhere. A little more serious ride. Maybe the other side of Snoqualmie Pass. Consensus rules. Weather and forest fire smoke might influence us.

I hope you can make it. Tell your friends.
