Managed to lose my old, worn fingerless road gloves last weekend.

Looking for recommendations on a replacement pair. I tend to favor minimalist, unpadded varities.

The old ones I lost were Velocio. A bit pricey, but I liked them and they lasted 5-6k miles.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks.

Cuero. I picked up a couple of pairs during an early production run. Lovely.

I'm partial to De Marchi Leggero gloves. Very breathable, no added padding.

2nded. Cuero gloves from Jason at Recovered Cycling (http://www.recoveredcycling.com/shop/). Best and most comfortable gloves I've ever owned, they also don't wear out.

I like gloves that have the loopy pull tab in between the fingers. These are not my Chibas but just to show you what I mean.

I like my cuero but i think the size of my hands must be weird. I followed the instructions on how to size myself, and came up with Medium, after riding medium, i found they were too tight. Whoever runs Cuero(theyre on the forum) is a great guy and let me swap out the used pair for a Large. Theyre still a little tight but not a huge issue. I like them a lot. Worth the money. Get they cleaning and conditioner as well.

Specialized Grail could be worth a look.

They do have a small amount of leather in the palm.

I wear the long finger version.

I now buy cheap ones off ebay or AliExpress. They work fine as long as they don't fall apart too quickly - and they usually don't. It's easy to overthink gloves.

I miss the Nashbar mesh back gloves.

Cheap and cheerful.

I like the Cuero gloves as well. I recently got a pair of the Specialized grail short finger gloves to use mountain biking. I've grabbed them a few times for the road and rather like the placement of the (minimal) padding better than most other gloves I've tried in the past. Worth a try perhaps. Quality on the Cuero is super. I have Giro minimalist gloves and never use them since getting the Cuero.

Castelli Rosso Corsa are excellent and hold up well over time.

I run Cuero Gloves. I appreciate all the kind words from everyone.

For anyone who would like to try the gloves, all cycling gloves will be on sale starting tomorrow through Memorial Day.

The BLEM's (xsmall and small only) are on sale for $25 now. I gotta clear out the last of this inventory, so time to get a backup pair before they are gone [emoji16]

And FYI, please use CueroGloves.com going forward. RecoveredCycling.com is going to be repurposed and won't have any shopping functions on it.

Which begs the question...which color is faster? Tan or Black? :)

Hmm. I didn't realize those were a thing of the past. I have a reserve pair NWT I'd let go if you are partial to them. I also use these (https://www.rivbike.com/collections/clothing/products/summer-gloves-xxxl) and slightly prefer them to the Nashbar ones.

Also, the Memorial Day sale is posted and live.

I'm between M and L on your fit chart (8.5" around the knuckle).

I wear a L in pretty much every glove I know (sometimes XL even for ones that run small).

Thinking I should go big with the L but what say you, jmoore?

Thanks,
John

Giro Zero work well for me.

I put them in the washing machine along with my kit and line dry.
Durable and light plus I like the full mesh back and lack of velcro

If you are looking towards minimalist or unpadded, why not ride glove free?
