I was dumb and lost my almost new Bontrager specter, but to be totally honest I didn’t really care for it that much because it didn’t breathe that well, it was heavy, and I should have gotten an M instead of L. So that said I want a summer weather helmet, is anything on sale right now?

Giro Syntax is $100 retail. It fit better and looked better than the Synthe. Def worth checking out

The Giro Synthe Mips is $157 at Excel Sports, but only in white/red.

I decided to buy a POC Octal, it sounds like it will breathe the best in the heat. We'll see :banana: You can get new ones for $130 or sometimes less.

I just got the ventral air. It is amazing! Most comfortable helmet I’ve ever had. Very light and breathes great. Besides the extra $$ I’m kinda glad I lost the specter :help: would highly recommend.

I just got a Ventral SPIN at half price, but the only color option at that price was the puke mustard yellow. No problem, I'll trade visibility and savings for ugly when it comes to a helmet.

First ride in it tomorrow.

Yes, I got it at Bike Closet which meant I had to pay CA sales tax, but I just looked and it's no longer on offer there. The best price I saw in a quick search was $202 at BikeTiresDirect and WesternWorks, though I didn't check color or size availability.
