Castelli 2xl is like a medium in regular clothes.

Very true... apparently Italians in XXL are very different than Americans.

Forget Italian or most Euro brands. I wear an XXL jersey (size 7). Euro brands are too small for me.

Ha. I had an Italian sales person explain to me that jerseys over there go to 6xl, and, I thought, to myself, how so very Italian. It's not as though it's a nation of tiny people. Spend some time there, and there is a certain illogic to it, I suppose.

Have you looked at these guys? https://fatladattheback.com/
Made for those of us who like fried chicken and don't spend 20 hours a week on the bike.

I'll have to check into these guys. I have never been considered fat - except maybe in cycling. I have a 48" chest and 34-35" waist. In cycling clothing manufactures seem to assume that we are all the same at the waist and chest. I usually have either tight shoulders or a baggier than desired waist in cycling clothing.

Yeah well, when the top guy in the sport looks like this, well, it's an issue to be normal.

Almost same size as you. Same problem. 6-2, 48 chest 36 waist.
I have had good luck with wool jerseys from Woolistic. Very nice. Pricey. Get XXXL

Also Luis Garneau. Mostly kinda blah.

I scored a nice Assos jersey that fits perfectly from Competitive Cyclist in February on sale

Also Babici.

Also pricey but super luxe. If you can find one in XXL that you like.
Let us know if you find others.
Good luck
