Currently have L4/L5 fusion and 95% sure will need my L3, as I am self diagnosing my MRI today. I ride with about 5cm drop now, hoping after my fusion the reach could remain the same and just increase height with the specialized hover bars. Reason being, the stem on my firefly is custom with beautiful anodizing in memory of my mother. Yes they could redo it if shorter stem is required but cost and wait could get frustrating. I know I am looking way ahead, but need some light at end of tunnel.
Others riding with 2 level fusion at this level, what drop do you find comfortable in comparison to pre-surgery? Did your reach remain the same.
Hopefully XLIF procedure will be quicker than my previous surgery, supposed to be.
